Whistler Blackcomb - North Americas number 1 Ski Destination

One thing we have come to love about Whistler is that it is more than just a ski resort. Of course it does have absolutely the best lift access skiing in North America, and some of the best nightlife anywhere in Canada. But Whistler has so much more to offer than just your typical West Coast ski vacation. Seasonal events and festivals like the Telus Ski and Snowboard Festival, and Kokanee Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival are just two of the many events hosted on the world famous slopes.

While Skiing and Biking are the two main reasons for coming to this great Mountain town, they are not the only reasons. With film/photography, music and art, cornucopia (food and hospitality), and many others dotting the calender, there are tons of reasons to visit throughout the year.

Skiing

With two huge mountains to choose from, and the most vertical in North America, it is hard ot go past Whistler Blackcomb when thinking about the best place to ski. There is enough terrain for everyone, from beginners to seasoned pros. For those of us who are true ski experience connosieurs there are great heli skiing and cat skiing operations based right in town.

Mountain Biking

Bar none the best mountain bike resort in the world. Huge festivals, long descents, and tons of trails that cater to literally every riding level from beginner mountain bikers, to pro level riders, make up the core of the bike experience on Whistler Mountain. But that is not all, with hundreds of kilometres of trails around the valley, this is a Mecca for the avid mountain biker, or the recreational rider looking for something fun to do on their vacation.

Golf

With five beautiful and challenging courses within a half hour radius, and three of those courses right in Whistler, this is a great place to come for a golf weekend. Play a different course, offering different challenges each day. From Nicklaus North, a Jack Niklaus designed PGA style course, to Squamish Golf Club, a Canadian Open course with established trees and layout, there is a wonderful golfing experience waiting for you here at this gem in the Coast Mountains.
